CityGovtJobs.com LLC (“CityGovJobs”, “we”, “us”, “our”, “ourselves”) understands that our users are concerned about how personal information is collected and used. Please be assured that we take your privacy very seriously and are committed to safeguarding personal information or personal data.

This document describes our Privacy Policy, which covers the personal information we collect about users of www.citygovjobs.com and through electronic communications with you as a customer or user of our Services.  This Privacy Policy is considered a part of our Terms of Use Agreement and the definitions included in our Terms of Use Agreement also have the same meanings when they are used in this document or policy unless otherwise explicitly defined in this Privacy Policy. 

This Privacy Policy is effective immediately for users that sign up for CityGovJobs accounts on or after December 20, 2019.  This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time and applies to the use and sharing of personal information collected on or after the date that this Privacy Policy is posted. You should check this document periodically and review it for any changes since the last version. 

CityGovtJobs.com LLC is a California Limited Liability Company with its office in Fullerton, California.  We refer to our website at www.citygovjobs.com as the “Site.” The Site and any related services operated by CityGovJobs are collectively referred to as “Service(s)”.

By accessing and using our Site and Services, you are agreeing that your personal information will be processed according to this Privacy Policy.

 

1.  Information Collection and Use

CityGovJobs collects certain personal data about users in order to provide secure access of our Services to users through, for example, registration, account set up and maintenance, and to enter into a contract with you, that is, our Terms of Use Agreement. 

As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” means any information or pieces of information that could identify you either directly (for example, your name) or, where required by applicable law, indirectly. This means that Personal Data includes things like email/home addresses, usernames, and any other information that you provide to the Site (“User Content”), and financial information. It could also include certain Technical Data about your computer or device used to connect to our Site, and as further defined in this Privacy Policy.

Our Services and Site have been designed and configured to not collect certain types of Personal Data.  For example, we do not collect identity information such as date of birth, driver’s license or social security numbers; we also do not collect Personal Data that reveals your race or ethnicity, political opinions, religious beliefs, health status, or sexual orientation, so please do not provide such information to us.

Data We Collect About You

As permitted by applicable law, we may collect, use, store and share different categories of Personal Data about you.  And while we describe these categories below, the actual data collected from users will vary depending on (1) what type of user you are, (2) which Service features you consent to make use of, and (3) whether you are a paying subscriber or continue using the Service as a free subscriber. 

User Types

User Types are defined in our Terms of Use Agreement and generally include the following:

Job Seeker Users.  “Job Seeker User” or “Job Seeker Users” refers to individuals who are registered users that access the Site to find city government career jobs or advancement opportunities.

City Government Users. “City Government User” or “City User” refers to an employee who works for a City Government who is authorized by their City to use the Site and Services for recruitment purposes.

Visitors.  “Visitor” or “Visitors” refers to individuals who access the Site that do not register as a Job Seeker or City Government User.

Personal Data

The following are the different types of Personal Data we may collect about you, either through positive actions that you consent to take in registering to use our Services or through automation as you interact with our Site electronically:

Usage Data.  “Usage Data” includes information about how you use our Site and Services, such as which web pages you access, how long you visit certain pages, which items you click on or features you opt to use.  For Job Seeker Users, Usage Data, for example, may include search terms, jobs alerts you view, and which hyperlinks you click on.

Account Data.  “Account Data” refers to information you enter when registering to use our Services, such as your name, username, email address, password, telephone number, street address or location where you reside or where you do business.  For City Government Users, Account Data includes data on the registered account holder, and other users that are added by the account holder.

Communication Data.  “Communication Data” includes correspondence between us and you as a user or customer of our Services.  Communication Data may include emails, phone messages, phone numbers or instant message communications exchanged in the course of requesting and/or providing support services or answering sales questions related to our Site and Services. 

Financial Data.  “Financial Data” refers to payment card information. CityGovJobs does not directly collect or store full credit or payment card details/ We use a secure payment service provider, Stripe, to process payments for Services.   

Transactional Data.  “Transactional Data” includes payment history, that is, payment amount, dates of transactions, credits when upgrading, and subscription option of registered users.  This information is typically stored under a user’s account where it may be accessed and downloaded by users.

Profile Data.  “Profile Data” includes the preferences that you select when configuring or saving information to your user dashboard.  For Job Seeker Users, this includes locations where you search for jobs, what job titles you submit interest in, and the filters you select and save to display search results and receive job alerts.  Profile Data includes User Content, such as Job Seeker User resume and user setting preferences to make your resume available to City Governments.  Resume data may include information in addition to your Account Data, including telephone number, work history, education, training certificates, job preferences, and other information that you provide at your discretion.  Profile Data for City Government Users typically includes how many users you add to your Account, how many job titles you make available or hide from job seekers, and how many job alerts you post using our Service.  Profile Data may include User Content that you make available to job seekers which may include your work or City telephone number, street address, and other specific information you add at your discretion.

Technical Data.  “Technical Data” refers to data collected by servers which host our Site or data collected by analytic service providers. This includes log files which document the date, time and the IP address of devices which access our Services, including devices IDs, user login data, browser type and version, cookie data, time zone setting and location, browser plugin types and versions, operating system and other technologies used to access Site.     

Non-Personal Data

In addition to the Personal Data noted above, we also collect and share “Summary Data” which is non-personal aggregated data on users.  For example, we may Summarize a compilation on counts of job seekers submitting interest in a particular job title; the compilation of Summary Data on job seeker submitted interest may include a summary of key qualifications, such as the average number years working for city government, how many job seekers reside in certain counties, or what the education level is of those that submitted interest.  This information is derived from your Personal Data but is not considered Personal Data since it does not include identity information such as your name or email address.  By using our Services you agree to allow CityGovJobs to prepare and share Summary Data with City Government Users. 

Failure to Provide Personal Data

As a Visitor or other User of our Services, we may not be able to provide you with Service if you fail to provide valid Personal Data when requested, e.g., you may not be able to register for service, upgrade to a paid subscription option, submit interest in jobs, add Users if you are City User.  In such circumstances we have no obligation to provide you with Services or features that may otherwise be available to you if you provided requested Personal Data.   

 

2.  How Data is Collected

We may use any of the below processes or methods to collect Personal Data from you:

  1. Through the process where you consent to register for a free trial;
  2. Through the process where you consent to become a paid subscriber;
  3. Through the process where you consent to create a resume or a City Profile;
  4. Through validation rules you agree to in order to submit interest in jobs;
  5. Where City Government Users consent to add users to their Account;
  6. By you providing us with feedback on our Services;
  7. Through your interactions or communications with us for support services;
  8. Through the use of automated technologies that collect Usage Data and Technical Data, as previously described and as disclosed to you in this Policy.

 

3.  How We Use Your Data

General Uses

We collect Personal Data to the extent we have a lawful basis for doing so, including a “legitimate interest,” contractual necessity, and with user consent where appropriate.

Our legitimate interests include the following: 

  1. Providing a financially sustainable Service, improving our services, personalizing the Services, and fulfilling your requests;
  2. Research and analysis, including tracking usage of the Services, providing feedback to users about our Services, to make improvements in our Services;
  3. Sales and marketing, including displaying aggregated or Summary Data to prospective customers, and communicating with you about special offers and new features;
  4. Providing customer support, troubleshooting, and responding to your customer service inquiries; and
  5. Administration, including backing up our systems, allowing for disaster recovery, enhancing the security of our Services, preventing misuse of our Services and to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use Agreement.

Job Seeker Users

The table below lists how Personal Data about Job Seeker Users is used by CityGovJobs.  By registering for Service, Job Seeker Users consent to our use of the below information for the stated purposes.

To enforce our Subscription plan profiles, and Terms of Use Agreement; and

To provide network administration, network security, and to prevent fraud.

Account Data

To create and manage your account and to communicate with you;

To process your requests for subscription changes and upgrades;

To help automatically configure your user dashboard with city government hyperlinks and jobs of interest in geographic areas of interest; and

To send you emails about your trial subscription plan and how to continue your subscription or upgrade.

Communication Data

To provide you with customer and support services;

To gather feedback from you on how to make improvements to our Services; and

To gather testimonials with your consent for market purposes.

Financial Data

To enable payments processing for Service upgrades you consent to;

To ensure that your payments are securely processed and stored by reputable third party, i.e., Stripe;

To manage your payments and provide you with Transaction Data on your Accounts page; and

To ensure that Services you receive are consistent with your subscription option.

Transactional Data

To provide you with a record of your subscription levels over time;

To provide you with a copy of invoices paid and record of your payment history; and

To help resolve disputes about amounts paid, debt collections and Services rendered and document resolutions;

Profile Data

To configure and personalize your Dashboard with user preferences;

To configure default search settings to help you find jobs of interest, job alerts and city hyperlinks;

To assist you to get started on filling out an abbreviated resume;

To permit you to submit interest in jobs and present your key qualifications and resume data to City Governments; and

To permit you to control who may view your resume.

Technical Data

To troubleshoot problems related to user software or hardware devices; and

To improve our Services to make sure they operate smoothly on commonly used devices and operating systems.

 

Job Seeker Resumes and Submitted Interest

The Services allow Job Seeker Users to submit interest in budgeted job titles (“Jobs of Interest”) at particular City Governments.  The Site requires Job Seeker Users to prepare an abbreviated resume that lists Personal Data or key qualifications in order to submit interest in Jobs of Interest and receive job alerts.

CityGovJobs acts as a data processor to make user resume data available to City Governments when you submit interest in jobs.  If the job titles you submit interest in are Executive or Senior Level Jobs, CityGovJobs presents Summary Data to City Government Users.  However, if the job titles you submit interest in are Mid or Entry Level Jobs, CityGovJobs presents (1) Summary Data to City Government Users, and (2) may also make your resume available to the City Government where you submitted interest. 

When you share your resume with City Governments you consent to making your resume data, including Personal Data, available to City Governments, and you also consent to City Government Users who viewed or saved your resume to using your Personal Data to contact you about career opportunities or recruitments.    

While our Terms of Use Agreement requires City Users to only use Personal Data on Job Seeker Users for recruitment purposes, CityGovJobs does not control the use of Job Seeker User Personal Data once it is saved, downloaded or printed out by City Government Users.

 

City Government Users

Below table lists how Personal Data about City Government Users is used by CityGovJobs.  By registering for Service, City Government Users consent to our use of the below information for the stated purposes.

To create and manage your account and to communicate with you;

To configure your user dashboard with information to help you manage your budgeted jobs and job alerts;

To process your requests for subscription changes and upgrades;

To enable you to add and manage additional users; and

To send you emails about your subscription plan and how to make changes to your subscription.

Communication Data

To provide you with customer and support services;

To gather feedback from you on how to make improvements to our Services;

To gather testimonials with your consent for market purposes; and

To conduct follow up surveys or to provide you with newsletter information.

Financial Data

To enable payments processing for Service upgrades you consent to;

To ensure that your payments are securely processed and stored by a reputable third party, i.e., Stripe;

To manage your payments and provide you with Transaction Data on your Accounts page; and

To ensure that Services you receive are consistent with your subscription option.

Transactional Data

To provide you with a record of your subscription levels over time;

Visitors

Below table lists how Personal Data about Visitors is used by CityGovJobs.  By visiting the Site and using the Services, Visitors consent to our use of the below information for the stated purposes.

4.  Information Sharing and Disclosure

Citygovjobs is a subscription-based service and we do not share your Personal Data except with the following:

  1. Employees of Citygovjobs
  2. City Government Users
  3. Third-parties
  4. Legal authorities
  5. Investors

We may also share non-personal aggregated Summary Data.

Above items are more fully described below.

Employees of Citygovjobs

Personal Data of users is accessible to employees of Citygovjobs on a limited basis, where employees “need to know” certain information in order to provide customer service to users or troubleshoot and resolve payment issues, for example.  Employees of Citygovjobs are subject to background checks and confidentiality agreements upon hire.  Some employees may not be authorized to access user Financial Data where their role is limited or restricted.          

City Government Users

When Job Seeker Users create resumes and make their resumes available to City Government Users, either through the submission of interest in jobs or by allowing City Users to find their resume through searches, we share your resume with City Government Users. Because your resume will include Personal Data and User Content that you may have added to your resume, they will be shared with City Government Users.  Our Terms of Use Agreement restrict City Government Users to use Personal Data on resumes for the sole purpose of conducting recruitments and not to share such information for any other purpose.  Recruitment purposes include use of Personal Data, such as contact information, to communicate with Job Seeker Users about job opportunities.  Communications between City Users and Job Seeker Users occur outside of our Site and Services, and we do not control the Personal Data exchanged between our users when they use third party email or other communication channels.    

Third Parties

Third parties include vendors used by Citygovjobs whose technology and services help us to operate Site and provide our Services to customers or users.  Third parties also include vendors that provide business services to Citygovjobs and entities that operate websites not affiliated with Citygovjobs but whose websites may be accessed by users through URLs or hyperlinks on our Site.  These third parties are described below in more detail.

  1. Vendors Used to Provide Services

Third parties are used by Citygovjobs to perform various functions necessary to deliver secure Services to you, including Amazon Web Services for web hosting, data backup and security services; Google for electronic communication and data analytics services; ZenDesk for customer relationship management services; and Stripe for electronic payment processing services.  These and other third party services are provided through service contracts and some categories of Personal Data may be processed and stored by them on separate servers.  As a result, your Personal Data may be subject to respective vendor’s privacy policy(ies).  We recommend that you review the privacy policies of these respective vendors online for more information.  For information on how Amazon Web Services uses data go to https://aws.amazon.com/privacy/.  For information on how ZenDesk uses data go to https://www.zendesk.com/company/customers-partners/privacy-policy/.  For information how how  Google Analytics uses data go to www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/.

  1. Professional Services Providers

We may engage certain trusted third parties to perform professional services for us. We may share Personal Data with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary for them to perform their service functions, and only pursuant to the obligations mirroring the protections of this Privacy Policy.  For example, we enter into service contracts for software programming and development services, security services, fraud prevention services, accounting services, auditing services, legal, banking and consulting services.  Employees of these service providers that perform work pursuant to a service contract with us may access Personal Data stored in our Site’s database.  In such cases, our contracts include confidentiality provisions to protect user privacy and restrict access, storage and use of Personal Data so that it remains secure and is treated in a manner consistent with this Privacy Policy. Additionally, like our policy with our employees, we require that only those employees of the service providers that need access to our Personal Data be allowed such access.

  1. Third Party Payment Processor

CityGovJobs does uses a third party payment processor to process payments made to us. In the processing of any payments from paying subscribers, we do not retain any Financial Data. All such information is provided directly to our third party processor, Stripe, whose use of your personal information is governed by their privacy policy, which may be viewed at https://stripe.com/us/privacy.

  1. Third Party Websites

Various URLs or hyperlinks are available on our Site to users. These hyperlinks may represent User Content posted by City Government Users or may have been obtained by us through public records requests and posted on our Site. These hyperlinks are considered public information by Citygovjobs and are provided for user convenience, however, these hyperlinks direct users to websites operated by entities not affiliated or controlled by Citygovjobs.  The operators of these third party websites may collect your Personal Data when you link to their websites and you are advised to review their privacy policies to understand how they may use your Personal Data.  By using our Services, you agree that Citygovjobs is not responsible for how these third parties use your Personal Data and that your use of the hyperlinks on our Site, including all hyperlinks to job announcements, job description web pages, salary table web pages, labor agreement web page, organization chart web pages, at city governments are other third party sites, are accessed by you at your own risk.

Legal Authorities and Transactions

We will disclose Personal Data to law enforcement agencies when we believe in good faith that such disclosures are required by law or that disclosure is necessary, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; will help to enforce our Terms of Use; to provide authorities with evidence of any breach of our Terms of Use that constitute or suspected to constitute a violation of any law; to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal or suspected illegal activities; protect your safety or security; or protect the safety and security of the Services, us, or third parties, including the safety and security of property that belongs to us or third parties.

Investors

We may share Personal Data in connection with or during negotiations of any proposed or actual financing, merger, purchase, sale or transfer of some or all of our assets or any other type of financing, acquisition or business combination of our company, or all or any portion of our assets, or transfer of all or a portion of our business to another company, including without limitation in the event of a  divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other event.  In the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, Personal Data that we hold about users of our Services will be one of the assets that will be transferred.  If a change happens to our business, the new owners may use your Personal Data in the same way as set out in this Privacy Policy.

Non-Personal Information

We may share or disclose your non-personal, aggregated, or Summary Data with affiliates, agents and business partners of CityGovJobs. We may disclose aggregated user statistics in order to describe our Services to current and prospective business partners, and to other third parties for other lawful purposes.

 

5.  Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Citygovjobs and our third party service providers may use cookies or similar tracking technologies (e.g., pixels, beacons, scripts, etc.) otherwise referred to as “Tracking Technologies”, to analyze trends, administer services, track users’ movements around the Site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. You can control the use of cookies at the individual browser level, but if you choose to disable cookies, it may limit your use of certain features or functions on our Site.

Cookies: A cookie is a small data file that is transferred to your computer’s hard disk. We may use both session cookies and persistent cookies to better understand how you interact with our Services, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on our Services. With the use of cookies, you will not be required to reenter your login data upon each visit. Your web browser can be configured to warn you each time a cookie is being stored, or to turn off all cookies.

Pixel Tags:  Pixel tags (also called web beacons or clear GIFs) may be embedded on some web pages and emails. These tiny, invisible graphics are used to access cookies and track user activities (such as how many times a page is viewed.) We use pixel tags to measure the popularity of our features and services.

Mobile Device IDs: We may use mobile device IDs (the unique identifier assigned to a device by the manufacturer), instead of or in addition to cookies, to recognize you. We do this to store your preferences and track your use of our Services. Unlike cookies, device IDs cannot be deleted.

Do Not Track Signals: “Do Not Track” or DNT is a feature enabled on some browsers that sends a signal to request that a web application disable its tracking or cross-site user tracking. At present, our Site does not respond to or alter its practices when a DNT signal is received.

 

6.  Security

We use various safeguards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.  However, no method of transmission over the internet or via mobile device, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In case any information under our control is compromised as a result of a breach of security, we will take reasonable steps to investigate the situation and where appropriate, notify those individuals whose information may have been compromised, and may take other actions in accordance with applicable laws the regulations.

 

7.  Deactivation of Account

You can deactivate or cancel your account at any time by logging in and going to your Account and Subscription pages and following the instructions to cancel your subscription.  Your Account Data and any personally identifiable information will be deleted from our Site, however, we may retain information about you as described in the Data Retention section of this Privacy Policy unless prohibited by law.

 

8.  Data Retention

We will not retain your Personal Data for any longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. Different retention periods may apply for different types of Personal Data.  For instance, when Job Seeker Users cancel their account with us, we delete all interest submitted in jobs at particular City Governments and remove your resume from the Site within 30 days of Service cancellation by you.  However, we may retain other Personal Data for other purposes, for example, to meet our legal, accounting, tax reporting and/or regulatory obligations in relation to that Personal Data.  We may also retain Personal Data in cases where we have a legitimate interest in relation to the management of our own rights, for example, the defense of any claims. In some circumstances we may anonymize your Personal Data so that it can no longer be associated with you, in which case we may use such information without further notice to you. Once you no longer have a relationship with us, we will retain and securely destroy your Personal Data subject to the foregoing and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

 

9.  Marketing Communications and Sharing Preferences

If you do not want to receive promotional emails from us, you may click the “unsubscribe” button on the promotional e-mail, or email us at customerservice@citygovjobs.com and request to be removed from our email marketing list. You will not be able to unsubscribe or opt-out of non-promotional messages regarding your account, such as account verification, password reminders, changes or updates to features of the Services, or technical, security or legal updates and notices.

 

10.  Our Policy Towards Children

Our Services and Site are not intended for use by persons under the age of 18 years.  Citygovjobs does not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register to use our Services.  If we learn that we have collected Personal Data of a child under the age of 13, we will delete that data to the extent required by applicable law as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any Personal Data from or about a child under 13, please contact us at customerservice@citygovjobs.com

 

11.  Where your Data is Transferred

Regardless of which country you reside in or create information from, your information may be used by CityGovJobs in the United States or any other country where CityGovJobs operates. All data for our Services are stored on Amazon Web Services servers. If you are outside the United States, your information will be sent to and stored in the United States, where the Amazon Web Services servers are located. Please see Amazon’s Privacy Policy for more information.

 

12.  Your Privacy Rights

City Government User Rights

Citygovjobs has uploaded public information to the Site to populate the database for the commercial and beneficial uses of its customers.  When registering, City Government Users consent to add Personal Data and may add User Content to the Site, and through searches, onboarding, and by adding users and saving certain content to your dashboard, you also create a User Profile.

With respect to Personal Data, City Government Users have the right to access, correct, edit or delete Personal Data on the Site, and may do so at any time by logging into your account and going to your Account settings to make desired changes.  You may also copy or printout your displayed Personal Data while visiting the Site using your browser. In order to delete your account, you may cancel your subscription by navigating to the Subscription page and canceling your account.  By using our Services, Users agree that Citygovjobs may retain certain Personal Data, for example, Transactional Data, for legitimate business purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy (See section 8 regarding “Data Retention”).  Other Personal Data, such as Communication Data, may be requested by writing to us at the address provided at the end of this privacy policy.     

City Government Users are entitled to correct, edit, and make changes to the public information on the Site, and through the Site’s Services, may edit or make changes to your User Profile, including deleting users.  User Content added to the Site by City Government Users is the property of the Users, however, some information may be subject to our Terms of Use Agreement when cancelling service.  See Section 12B of Terms of Use Agreement for more information.

 

Job Seeker User Rights

When registering, Job Seeker Users consent to add Personal Data and may add User Content to the Site, and through searches, onboarding, and by saving certain content to your dashboard, you may also create a User Profile.

Job Seeker Users have the right to have any inaccuracies in their Personal Data corrected.  You may make changes to your Personal Data by logging into to your account and going to your Account settings page or to your Resume page and make desired changes using the Site’s edit functions.  You may also send us and email at customerservice@citygovjobs.com and we will make corrections for you.  Note that if you delete certain Personal Data from your resume that you may not be able to submit interest in jobs and receive job alerts for submitted interest. 

Job Seeker Users may login and go to their Resume Settings page to control your privacy.  By default your resume is set to not be available to City Government Users through resume searches.  You may set your resume to be active once you are registered.  Once your resume is active your resume may be searched for by City Government Users, saved by them on separate storage devices or printed out and used for recruitment purposes.  Once your resume is downloaded, saved or printed out, it is no longer in our control, and is controlled by the City Government User.  In this regard, Citygovjobs may not be able to provide you with an account of how your information was used by City Government Users.  Similarly, City Government Users may choose to use your resume data to communicate with you outside of our Services or Site. Here too, Citygovjobs does not control the channels of communications that may be used by City Government Users and so cannot provide you with information on this type of Communication Data.  You may stop making your resume available to City Government Users by deactivating it using your Resume Settings.  You may also use your Resume Settings to block certain City Governments from accessing your resume.

When you submit interest in the Jobs of Interest page on our Site, Summary Data from your resume is shared with City Government Users.  If you submit interest in Mid- and Entry Level Jobs of Interest page on our Site, your resume is made available to City Government Users.  You may remove your submitted interest by using the controls on your Dashboard and Job Search page, and by filtering results for your Submitted Interest, and then clicking on “Remove Submitted Interest”.  This will prevent you from getting job alerts, however, it will also prevent the City Government where you submitted interest from viewing your Summary Data or resume data.

Job Seeker Users may print a copy of your Personal Data displayed on the Site by logging into your account and using your browser.  You may also use your browser to copy and save an electronic version of your Personal Data that appears on our Site.   Other Personal Data, such as Communication Data, may be requested by writing to us at the address provided at the end of this privacy policy.

Job Seeker Users may cancel their account at any time by logging in to your Account and going to your Subscription page and following the process to cancel your subscription. Once your account is canceled, your submitted interest in jobs will be removed from any city governments where you submitted interest, and your resume data will also be removed from those city governments that saved your resume to their Citygovjobs’ account.  

Visitor User Rights

We do not collect personally identifiable information from Visitor Users.  If you have a concern about cookies that may have been placed on your device during a visit to our Site, you may clear your cookies by using your browser controls.

Notices Regarding Your Rights

Notice to California Residents

A California resident who has provided personal information to a business with whom he/she has established a business relationship for personal, family, or household purposes ("California customer") is entitled to request information about whether the business has disclosed personal information to any third party for the third party’s direct marketing purposes. A business is not required to provide such information if the business adopts and discloses to the public (in its Privacy Policy) a policy of not disclosing a customer's personal information to third parties for the third party’s direct marketing purposes.  Citygovjobs is a subscription-based service and it is our policy not to share Personal Data with third parties for direct marketing campaign purposes.  If any user believes that their Personal Data on our Site has been used by third parties for direct marketing purposes you may contact us at customerservice@citygovjobs.com or write to us at the address provided in section 13 below.  Your correspondence should include “California Privacy Rights” in the subject line or first part of your message, and a description of your request or concern, and must include your name, street address, city, state and zip code.

Notice to European Union “EU” Residents:

Our Services are not offered to individuals from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and/or Switzerland. Therefore, the provisions of the General Data Provision (GDPR) are not applicable.

14.  Notice of Changes

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the Privacy Policy will govern our collection, use and disclosure of information about you.  If changes are made to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you either by e-mail or on the Site. If changes are material, we will provide you additional prominent notice as appropriate under the circumstances.
