The City of Woodland Community Services Department invites your application for:
ACTIVITY LEADER I/II
Under supervision of the Recreation Supervisor or Coordinator; the Activity Leader implements and assists in the the delivery of Adult Sports activities. The Adult Sports programs provides fun and non-competitive sports activities for adult participants through out the year. Sports activities offered include slow pitch softball, flag football, basketball, and volleyball.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
The following are typical illustrations of duties encompassed by the job class; not an all-inclusive or limiting list:
Provide staff support Adult Sports activities during league play such as scorekeeping and communication to program participants
Assists in implementing emergency procedures; enforce program rules and regulations; follows city policies and procedures; and completes other assigned duties.
Minimum Education and Experience
Activity Leader I Must be 16 years of age upon appointment, interested in recreation activities and have a desire to work with adults participating in sports activities.
Activity Leader II Must had education equivalent to graduation from high school and a minimum of 1 year of working in organized sports related activities.
Activity Leader I $14.00-$15.00 hourly Five step scale based on experience and years of service
Activity Leader II $14.75-$15.75 hourly Five step scale based on experience and years of service

The City of Woodland's Community Services Department is accepting applications for employment. The filing deadline is April 30, 2021 for Activity Leader I/II positions. Applications will be screened and qualified applicants will be invited to participate in an interview.

All of these positions are temporary part time. Temporary employees work no more than 960 hours in a Fiscal Year.
The pay cycle is monthly. Pay day is the last working day of the month. With the exception of worker's compensation coverage and sick leave, no other benefits compensations are provided. Employees must contribute 1.45% of salary to Medicare and 7.5% to a retirement plan in accordance with Federal Law.
THE ABILITY TO SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND SPANISH IS A DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION FOR ALL POSITIONS.
