We are seeking a highly-motivated person to work as our Parks Maintenance & Operations Technical Associate (“Parks M&O Associate”). This critical role will monitor our Lucity Computerized Maintenance Management System (“Lucity CMMS”) and Geographic Information System (“GIS”) Mapping Technology activities while performing complex analysis and working independently. This is a part-time position working 20 – 30 hours per week, which will extend up to a total of 1,000 hours over a 12-month period. The work environment will be a combination of remote and in-person work. Some driving is required to visit sites. Employees in a part-time classification are at-will and not covered by the City's Civil Service System.

TYPICAL TASKS

Reporting to the Parks & Urban Forestry Manager, duties may include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Administer, monitor, and evolve the City's Lucity CMMS and GIS platform; and assist in developing goals and objectives to advance the platforms.
  2. Maintain and develop data for equipment, assets, property, and other information used to populate Lucity CMMS and GIS.
  3. Work with staff to develop and schedule preventive maintenance for assets, enter and update information into the Lucity CMMS.
  4. Collect, compile and analyze information from various sources on a variety of areas related to parks maintenance and operations.
  5. Provide QA/QC of data to insure accuracy of work orders and analysis.
  6. Perform spatial analysis and reports to support City Staff Reports and Presentations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:

  • At least two years of administrative and analytical experience, preferably within a local government environment utilizing a computerized maintenance management system. Advanced experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe applications is desired.
  • Equivalent to an Associate degree from an accredited college is desired, with specialized training in Public Works or Parks Operations and maintenance procedures related to asset management.
  • Possession of a valid State of California Driver's License and a good driving record appropriate.
