Under the general supervision of a Police Sergeant, Police Officers perform law enforcement and crime prevention work by utilizing community policing and problem-oriented strategies including controlling traffic flow; enforcing state and local regulations; performing investigative work; participating in, and providing support and assistance to special departmental crime prevention and enforcement programs. Police Academy Graduate - Completion of a P.O.S.T. certified academy within the last 36 months (proof must be included with your application; if currently enrolled in the academy, please specify on application and include graduation date).
